TAAJ AGRO is focused on operational excellence. From our detailed tillage, planting and harvest practices to our routine fertilizer application and fumigation operations, we are diligent in our efforts to attain the best agronomic outcome.
We firmly believe that a diverse and balanced soil ecosystem and a robust nutritional program of varied and complimenting inputs results in a vibrant, thriving plant that has greater disease resistance and, if handled properly, better potential shelf-life.
Our spice production factory is equally furnished with the latest equipment such as the washer/slicer machine, the freeze-drying machine, the grinding machine, the bottling machine, the packaging machine, and the labelling machine.
Our efforts towards continuous improvement cultivate a culture that encourages our team members. We constantly analyze and re-analyze our supply chain and systems to find opportunities for optimization. We are proud of our use of cutting-edge technologies and agronomic practices to maximize the efficiency of all of our resources and improve the ultimate sustainability of our farming operations.
Cover Crops:We grow a number of crops with no intention of ever harvesting them. When our cover crops are mature, we shred the plants into tiny pieces and immediately incorporate the large amount of new organic matter into the soil. These cover crops, sometimes referred to as ‘green manure’ crops, help to protect and improve the soil by controlling erosion and weeds, and maintaining organic matter. Cover crops also increase soil’s water-holding capacity, which decreases leaching of nutrients, helps retain and recycle plant nutrients between crops, provides habitats for beneficial microorganisms, and increases the soil’s biological diversity.
